Today was another fun filled day in Auckland New Zealand. I began the day with a haircut before joining a good friend for a golf match upstairs.
We left the ship around noon and found a place called Oysters & Chops for lunch. As one might imagine, oysters were the hit of the day.

But the fish and chips weren't bad either!

Then there were the Bloody Marys with oysters floating inside them.

And then, it was off to the opera to see a performance of Mikado.
It was a modern presentation and great fun. At one point, there was a song about modern leaders and, of course, they could not leave out Donald Trump. He probably got the largest ovation of the night.
One of the fun things about this particular presentation is that the Lord High Exalted Executioner was played by someone who was a glorified clown. In typical Gilbert & Sullivan fashion, this contrast between the seriousness and fun proved to be the perfect balance.

After the show, we walked back across the wharf to the ship. We saw several boats that had been former Americas Cup racing boats.

We also found this boat which purports to be a medical rescue boat.

At the harbor, people just took off their shoes and socks and wandered into the water.

At 1, 076 feet, the Sky Tower is the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand and glass elevators transport visitors up to viewing platforms to provide views for up to 50 miles in all directions.

Back on the ship, we hung out in the library for a little while before dinner.
Then, already full of food, as has been the case for most of the trip, we headed out for dinner. Tonight’s dinner was with friends at Euro, a convenient restaurant located very near the ship. We had a great dinner and great fun. At least 5 bottles of wine were consumed.
Once we returned home, we decided not to go to dance tonight, but rather headed straight to bed.
